Glyfada Corfu ( Korfu ) Greece , Glyfada beach Corfu ( Korfu ) Greece
It is a trendy popular resort but small enough to have a traditional feel with atmospheric tavernas and bars. Glyfada is lively enough but nothing too raucous. Your holidays here could also include trips to Corfu Town, the traditional village of Pelekas, golf at Ermines or an excursion to attractive quiet Miriotissa bay with its monastery. But with a beach like Glyfada you may want to do nothing more than enjoy the sand, sea, cliff top views and spectacularly colourful sunrising. Glyfada is extended around the foothill of Pelekas village. Glyfada Beach is long, wide and sandy and caters mainly to young people as it offers several beach bars and cafes. It is well-organized with water sports facilities, long chairs and umbrellas. Sometimes the area is windy, causing the sea to become wavy. Near the beach is a wide range of hotels, rooms for rent, apartments and studios. Also some of the nicest Corfu beach bars. Glyfada Corfu, is a very popular tourist resort, especially for people who like swimming and sea sports.
Every summer there take part a beach volley tournament. You can do water-ski, jet-ski or rent a sea bicycle and have fun with your friends. Near to Glyfada beach, are found the Ermones golf course of Corfu and the Equestrian Club. In the same region is also found the Aqua land, the marine park that offers hours of amusement to every visitor. |
