Kontogialos (also known as Yaliscari) in Pelekas Corfu ( korfu) Greece.
Only14km from the mainport of the island, and is placed to the scrambles of the hill where in the most high part is constructed a traditional village from which one can see the panoramic view and have the possibility to enjoy the sunset and the unique landscape.
Is well done organized with lifeguards and a warning flag system. Can be accessed by two roads and there is adequate parking at the northern end. Along the beach there are various tavernas, beach bars, marine sports facilities (water ski, boats for rent) and on the road you can find a couple of mini markets. Kontogialos beach is organised and, thanks to the mayor's initiative, offers extra facilities for Although not a particularly fashionable place, there are a number of reasonable places to eat - our recommendation would be the taverna "Naftis", for an afternoon ouzo and mezedes right by the water. (18 km from Corfu town). Also for Pelekas there is a bus service from Corfu town (San Rocco Square) with blue busses which leave at 07.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.15, 16.00, 18.00 and 20.30, the ticket (buy before boarding the bus) costs 0,75 euro and the journey takes 30 minutes. Then from Pelekas, every half an hour, there is a municipal bus with no extra cost with destination Kontogialos (also known as Yaliscari) and Glyfada beach.
