Avlaki Corfu ( Korfu ) Greece

Between Aghios Stefanos and Kassiopi, Avlaki is a popular weekend retreat for islanders, but remains largely undiscovered by overseas visitors despite its obvious appeal. T

his delightfully tranquil area lies around a curving bay of clear blue water, enclosed at either end by tree-clad hills and fringed by a long white shingle and pebble beach.

A snack bar and a couple of tavernas serving traditional Greek cuisine provide all that Avlaki has to offer by way of amenities, but it's only a short drive or a twenty minute walk to the more varied amenities of its neighbouring resorts.

The  distance from airport  is approximately 38 kilometres.

The long beach is mostly shingle but there are boardwalks and sun beds and the sea shallow though only for a few metres then drops off sharply.

It's very quiet, but more lively resorts are only a short walk and there are boat trips to Corfu (Korfu).
