Moraitika Corfu ( Korfu ) Greece 

In Moraitika village  visitors should certainly take a couple of strolls up to the original village of Ano Moraitika, a contrast from the main resort with its narrow lanes and picturesque unspoilt little flower-decked houses.

Here you will find excellent tavernas, and superb views from the church of Theotokou Kimiseos. Fisherman still work from the river that separates Moraitika from Messonghi. Moraitika is served by regular buses south to Kavos and Messonghi and north to Benitses and the fascinating capital Corfu town.

Going up the hill you pass the attractive Church of Theotokou Kimiseos with a quaint belfry on the right. There is a great view of the coast from this area.

As far as food is concerned, you can rest assured of the quality. There are a lot of  good quality taverns that offer the very best of local Corfu cuisine along with a range of International cuisines to the sheer delight of the discerning visitors. Don’t hesitate to savor the locally prepared seafood delicacies.

They are just too good to be missed and the chefs do a marvelous job preparing them.
In Moraitika there is a long beautiful sandy beach. A mixture of shingle and sand. The usual water sports are on offer , as well as modest waterslide with plastic chutes. Scuba Diving is also available. Sunbeds and pedalloes for hire. The water is shallow and warm , suitable for children.
